In Southern Arizona, orange is always in season, especially the conical assortment.
Road projects, when they're right in your daily commute, sometimes feel like they last forever.
Though some work, such as paving a surface with rubberized asphalt, can't be done in cooler temperatures, there is no shortage of other work to be done.
While crews continue to work on trenching, moving utilities, reconstructing and landscaping road projects that began in 2007, a new round of projects is slated to begin this year.
Last year's most notable project was the start of work to widen Interstate 10 from Prince Road to 29th Street. That project will continue throughout 2008. But other projects will begin this year and bring the pain of "road construction ahead" and the pleasure of a new road once work is complete.
