This is the second year of Cyclovia Tucson, which celebrates biking, walking, rollerskating — foot-powered transportation.
The 5-mile route, which loops through downtown and South Tucson, is closed to vehicles to promote cycling and other forms of alternative transportation. Click on map to see exact route.
Although relatively new to Tucson, cyclovias are held around the world, including South America, where the concept originated.
Live music and activities will line the route of the Tucson-area cyclovia, which was organized by a committee of citizens and representatives from government and non-profit groups
"We'll have events that entice you to go a little farther," said event coordinator Daniela Diamente.
Cyclists will decorate their bikes at 10 a.m. at Santa Rosa Park with things like faux fur and streamers. From there they can ride in the Tucson Bike Beautiful procession, which starts shortly after noon.

The YMCA will have its Healthy Kids Day with free Zumba classes, a climbing wall and jumping castle, Diamente said.
