When they moved to Tucson in 1999, Sherry and Mike Hill missed the chicken-wing joint they used to frequent outside Dallas.
Their solution: bring the franchise to Tucson.
In late 2002, the Hills opened their first Wingstop at Broadway and Pantano Road. Last month, the pair opened their newest location on the Northwest Side.
"Mike and I are very passionate about Wingstop," Sherry Hill said. "It's been rewarding. Tucson has been good to us."
The newest Wingstop, 3662 W. Ina Road, Suite 110, opened Dec. 10 and is the couple's fourth Wingstop restaurant. They also have restaurants at Campbell Avenue and Fort Lowell Road and at Grant and Silverbell roads.
The Northwest Side residents have always wanted to expand into the Northwest area but found it difficult to find a suitable location.

That was until they drove by and noticed an empty unit on the northwest corner of Ina Road and Meredith Boulevard.
"We've always wanted to be on the Northwest Side," Sherry Hill said. "Tucson is growing so fast. It is hard to find space available. We just drove by and it had come available."
It didn't take long for customers to start showing up and ordering any of the nine wing flavors the restaurant offers, Sherry Hill said.
The restaurant's chicken wings and boneless wing strips are cooked to order. You won't find any microwaves, heat lamps or holding bins in any Wingstop restaurant, Mike Hill said.
Because the food is made to order, Mike Hill said an order takes about 14 minutes. But he said the quality of the food makes it worth the wait.
"We think that separates us from fast-food places," said Mike Hill, who works at Raytheon Missile Systems. "We really strive for quality of food. That is why it takes 14 minutes."
Wing flavors include original hot, cajun, atomic, mild, teriyaki, lemon pepper, Hawaiian, garlic parmesan and hickory-smoked barbecue. Sides, such as seasoned fries and bourbon baked beans, are also available.
Individual combo meals start at $5.29 and include seasoned fries, cole slaw, one speciality dip and a drink. Family packs are also available and start at $21.99.
The restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to midnight daily.
