A 73,000-pound girder is being put in place as part of an overpass for The Loop bicycle/pedestrian path at Camino de la Tierra on the south side of the Rillito River. The construction of the 12-foot-wide, 500-foot span overpass should be completed this summer. The girder was repurposed from a dismantled bridge in Sahuarita.
