1 Suspicious activity was reported at 9:59 a.m. March 4 at Quail Ridge Apartments, 4500 E. Sunrise Drive. Two apartment residents told deputies they were moving out and left the mostly empty apartment at 2 p.m. March 3. When they returned, they found both back windows ajar and the screens removed. According to the report, nothing had been damaged or taken.
2 An attempted burglary was reported at 11:14 a.m. March 3 in the 11400 block of East Gunsmith Drive. A resident told deputies the following: She became suspicious because her dogs would not stop barking before she left for work. She looked outside and saw a red truck leaving the driveway next door but thought it belonged to her neighbor. She went to work and received a call from her cleaning woman, who later told deputies the garage door, front and back doors were open. Nothing appeared to have been stolen.
3 Larceny was reported at 8:08 a.m. March 3 in the 2800 block of North Tomahawk Trail. A resident told deputies the following: He owns a landscaping business and two of his employees walked off the job Feb. 28. One of the former employees took client information and refused to return it. He received calls from several clients who told him they hired his former employee to do their landscaping. He is concerned that the rest of his clients will be contacted by the ex-employee. Deputies told him to save all correspondence between him and the former employee about client information.

4 A student was cited on suspicion of possession of marijuana at 10:28 a.m. March 2 at Sabino High School, 5000 N. Bowes Road. The assistant principal told deputies the girl left the campus and was sent to his office when she returned. A small, plastic bag of marijuana, a lighter and a smoking pipe were found in her backpack. The girl admitted she left to smoke marijuana. She said the drug and other items belonged to her. She was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and released to her mother.
5 Theft was reported at 9:27 a.m. March 2 in the 6700 block of East Pico del Monte. The homeowner told deputies someone took several miscellaneous tools that belonged to him and one of his contractors. He said several contractors are remodeling the house. According to the report, a sliding-glass door in a back bedroom had been left unlocked.
6 Fraud was reported at 11:20 a.m. March 1 in the 6200 block of North Camino Pimeria Alta. A resident told deputies the following: She purchased virus protection software online in February. She later learned she actually downloaded a virus and someone fraudulently charged $109 to her bank account. One week later, someone tried to charge $800 to her account but her credit union blocked the transaction.
