Today's "tail" is of a deadly couple of poisonous lizards.

The tenderfoot might not want to get close enough to even tell the difference, but the people at the Arizona-Sonora Desert museum are mighty impressed with these new additions. The long this fellow is the beaded lizard, and the pudgy on is the Gila monster. They are the only two species of poisonous lizard in the world and here they are posing nicely together for a picture. You can meet them at the museum in the Tucson Mountain park near Old Tucson.
