Ten months after the city of Tucson started renovations at the Tucson House, a public housing complex for older adults, the 24 apartments on the 15th floor are completed. Tenants can start to move in on Friday Oct 16, 2026.
In July 2023, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development awarded the city a $50 million Choice Neighborhoods Implementation grant for the rehabilitation project.
