10 places to get Easter brunch and dinner in Tucson

Breakfast (noun): A meal usually taken late in the morning that combines a late breakfast and an early lunch.

What a concept. Brunch allows you to sleep in, have an upscale version of breakfast (possibly with an alcoholic beverage and still have the rest of the day to do whatever. In this case, you can hunt down those Easter eggs no one could find.

Here are 10 Tucson spots to get an Easter meal. Prices may not include taxes or gratuity.

Cup Cafe — 311 E. Congress St.

Brunch features at Cup Cafe include spring succotash, cured salmon or venison hash. The specials cost between $14 and $17. 

Dinner features include 12-ounce New York strip or venison osso bucco, costing from $34 to $36. 

Dessert costs $5. 

Brunch runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m Sunday. Dinner starts at 4 p.m. Sunday. Call 798-1618 for more information.

El Conquistador — 10000 N. Oracle Rd.

El Conquistador is offering a brunch buffet, in addition to an egg hunt and holiday crafts. 

Brunch includes salads and small bites, seafood, a carving station, entrees including tamales and and stew, sides, breakfast favorites and desserts.

Brunch runs from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. Prices range from $22 to $59. Call 544-5000 or click here for more information.

Hacienda Del Sol Guest Ranch Resort — 5501 N. Hacienda del Sol Road.

Hacienda Del Sol is serving up a brunch buffet that is set to include prime rib, smoked country ham, salads, cheese platters, desserts and more.

The brunch runs from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday and costs $75 for adults and $32 for children ages 7 to 14. Children 6 and under eat free. Call 299-1501 or click here for more information.

Maynards Market & Kitchen — 400 N. Toole Ave.

Maynards

Maynards Market & Kitchen downtown was one of eight Tucson eateries to make Wine Spectator's 2017 best restaurants list.

Instead of the normal brunch menu, Maynards is offering an Easter brunch prix fixe menu from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. The menu includes a bakery basket; green salad or cauliflower veloute; beef short rib, Scottish salmon, ricotta gnocchi, scrambled eggs, or lemon cornmeal pancake; carrot cake or a ricotta tart.

Omni Tucson National Resort — 2727 W. Club Dr.

Omni is serving brunch with features including smoked salmon, a pancake bar, eggs and omelettes, prime rib and desserts. 

Seating is available every half-hour from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. Brunch costs $54 for adults and $28 for children ages 6 to 12. Children 5 and under eat free.

Tanque Verde Ranch — 14301 E. Speedway

Tanque Verde Ranch

To celebrate its 150th anniversary, Tanque Verde Ranch is offering nightly room rates for $150 through Aug. 30. The package includes breakfast.

Guests at Tanque Verde Ranch will have the opportunity to celebrate Easter with a variety of appetizers and entrees. 

The event costs $65 for adults. Children ages 12 and under eat for half the price. Seating begins at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.

The Parish — 6453 N. Oracle Rd.

The Parish will offer a limited brunch and dinner menu all day Sunday, with Easter-themed specials.

The entree is called the "White Chocolate Bunny" which is horchata-brined rabbit, mole blanco, chile-spiked carrot confit and frijoles gigantes charro. For dessert, The Parish is serving a peanut butter mousse Easter Egg with hidden spicy ganache in a crispy churro nest.

Brunch is served 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dinner is served 4:30 to 10 p.m. The rabbit entree costs $30, the dessert costs $10.

The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain — 15000 N. Secret Springs Dr.

The Ritz-Carlton is offering brunch with appetizers, a fresh raw bar, salads, sides, traditional breakfast favorites, a chef's carving station, main courses, vegetables and desserts. 

Brunch runs from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday. It costs $90 per adult and $40 for children ages 12 and under.

The Salvation Army — 1002 N. Main Ave.

The Salvation Army's Hospitality House is serving breakfast with musical entertainment and Easter baskets for the kids. 

The free breakfast is served from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday. Call 448-5491 or click here for more information.

The Tasteful Kitchen — 722 N. Stone Ave.

The Tasteful Kitchen is offering a three-course vegetarian brunch featuring a number of starters, main courses and desserts to choose from. 

Main courses include house-made vegan breakfast sausage, southwest corn cakes, a kale Reuben sandwich and eggs frittata. 

Brunch is served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday and costs $35 per person. Reservations are required. Call 250-9600 or click here for more information.
