Martin Cruz Garcia
A Tucsonan convicted by a jury of fatally shooting a man at a gas station two years ago was sentenced Monday to life in prison with no possibility of parole.
Martin Cruz Garcia, 24, was found guilty of first-degree murder and aggravating circumstances for the killing of Damian Bryan Quinones, 46, after arguing with him at a station on Tucson’s east side on July 17, 2024.
According to news reports, jurors found that the aggravating circumstances were that Garcia's actions inflicted physical, financial and emotional harm to Quinones’ family, and that he used a deadly weapon during the crime.
Pima County Superior Court Judge Danielle Constant sentenced Garcia to a natural life sentence with no parole.
