91 illegal immigrants captured south of Ajo
Border Patrol agents apprehended an unusually large group of illegal immigrants Tuesday night 15 miles south of Ajo, authorities said.
Agents using a radar-based surveillance system found 90 men and a woman in the desert, said Agent Colleen Agle, a spokeswoman for the Border Patrol Tucson Sector.
"We don't typically see groups this size," Agle said. "Our technology is so advanced - it's hard to go undetected, especially a group that big."
The group was found walking north around 7:45 p.m. Tuesday about 120 miles west of Tucson, Agle said. All were from Mexico, according to Border Patrol.

The death of an infant in December has been ruled a homicide, police said.
Two-month-old Rene Steven Garcia Hernandez Jr. was taken to University Medical Center Dec. 19 after his parents called 911 and told authorities he was no longer breathing. The parents previously laid the infant down for a nap about 90 minutes earlier.
He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The boy and his mother were at his father's house, in the 5500 block of South Missiondale Road.
The Pima County Medical Examiner's Office conducted an autopsy to make the homicide ruling, according to a Tucson Police Department news release.
No arrests have been made, but the investigation continues. Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
