1 Larceny was reported at 1:47 p.m. Jan. 14 in the 6400 block of North Ventana Canyon Drive. A resident told deputies someone took 11 copper landscaping lights valued at more than $1,500 from his front yard.
2 A 1999 Acura Integra was reported stolen at 9:54 a.m. Jan. 12 in the 3000 block of East River Road. The owner told deputies the car was parked by the front gate. There were no signs of forced entry. According to the report, the stripped car was recovered at 7:39 a.m. Jan. 14 in the 1600 block of East Paseo Pavon.
3 Fraud was reported at 2:25 p.m. Jan. 11 in the 4900 block of East Sunrise Drive. A resident told deputies the following: He is in the money loaning business. He was approached by a man from Scottsdale late last year who wanted a loan for $65,000 for a business venture. The man gave him collateral in the form of two bank guarantees. He sent $30,000 to JPMorgan Chase bank in Chicago on Oct. 18 and $38,000 to an HSBC bank in Singapore on Dec. 1. He realized the bank guarantees were fraudulent and could not get his money back because the bank account numbers were fraudulent.

4 Burglary was reported at 10:34 a.m. Jan. 11 in the 3600 block of East Kingler Spring Place. A renter told deputies all her belongings were taken. Deputies searched the house and noted it was empty except for two sets of moving boxes and a broken glass tabletop. According to the report, it appeared as though the woman's belonging had been packed up by professional movers. The house had been cleaned. Deputies contacted the homeowner's real estate company. An employee told deputies the company did not evict the woman but she was apparently living in the house on an illegal lease. The employee told deputies she would contact the homeowner. The resident told deputies she has poor credit and had a friend in New York rent the apartment. She said she had been paying rent to the management company and did not receive any eviction notices. According to the report, there were no records of an eviction notice. The incident is under investigation.
5 A car break-in was reported at 12:12 p.m. Jan. 11 in the 5500 block of North Valley View Road. The owner told deputies someone broke into her car and damaged the ignition. The driver's side window was smashed out. A broken screwdriver and a softball-sized rock were found on the front passenger seat. The owner told deputies nothing was missing from the car.
6 Burglary was reported at 10:01 a.m. Jan. 11 in the 5800 block of North Paloma Ridge Lane. The renter's daughter told deputies she found the rear patio door open and a vent leading into the garage pried open. The door between the garage and the main house had been kicked open. The thieves turned up the heat and ransacked the house. Several television sets, a computer and a printer were among the items taken. A 2006 Chrysler Voyager van was stolen from the garage.
