This weekend's blustery weather didn't stop several vendors from turning out for the Bear Canyon Open Air Market, which runs Saturdays at 8987 E. Tanque Verde Road.
Customers turned out as well at the market, which featured live music, organic eggs, homemade breads, tortillas, handmade crafts and green chile roasting.
Usually about 30 vendors participate in the market, which runs from Labor Day to Memorial Day.
"We are kind of a teaching market," said market organizer Donna DeConcini. "A lot of snowbirds come to the market who haven't experienced the desert. We teach them how to eat and survive from the desert."
