Surrounded by walls adorned with AIDS quilts, about 150 people packed a Foothills-area church Sunday to help raise money for people living with HIV and AIDS.
The ninth annual Musical Potpourri had interactive music performances from three choirs at the Lutheran Church of the Foothills, 5102 N. Craycroft Road.
The concert raised money for the Tucson Interfaith HIV/AIDS Network, known as TIHAN, and the Poz Café, a monthly lunch put on by TIHAN for people living with HIV, said Tami Arthur, the event's coordinator.
The concert was a way to raise awareness for HIV and AIDS, Arthur said.
It was dedicated to people living with HIV or AIDS and their families and friends, she said.
Arthur, a volunteer with TIHAN, has been organizing the concert for the last seven years.

"I do this because I love TIHAN," she said. "Nobody should have to suffer."
The event cost $10, and donations were matched by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, Arthur said.
With the ticket sales and matching donation, the total raised was about $1,200.
The three choirs were the Emmanuel Baptist Church Worship Team, Desert Voices and the Reveille Men's Chorus. All three received rousing applause from the audience when they finished their sets.
