Eat chili. Send kids to camp. It'll be just that simple Saturday during the Fun Chili Cook-Off at Jonathan's Cork, 6320 E. Tanque Verde Road.
The annual fundraiser helps send local boys and girls to summer camp through the Arizona Daily Star's Sportsmen's Fund Send a Kid to Camp program.
Local restaurants will donate their best chili for the public to sample and judge from noon to 2 p.m. or until the last spoonful is consumed. It's a $10 donation at the door.
A flat-screen TV donated by Tucson Appliance Company is one of several dozen raffle prizes.
Restaurants participating include defending 2011 champ Frankie's South Philly Cheesesteaks and 2010 winner Brushfire BBQ Co. as well as Chad's Steakhouse & Saloon, Dakota Cafe, Eclectic Cafe, Hog Pit, Jonathan's Cork, Kingfisher, Pastiche and Ric's Cafe, all part of the Tucson Originals group of local eateries.

The chili cook-off has raised more than $60,000 for the Sportsmen's Fund Send a Kid to Camp program.
Since 1947, the Star's Sportsmen's Fund has helped send more than 35,900 children to camp.
The Send a Kid to Camp program raises money so economically disadvantaged kids can go to YMCA, Boy Scout and Girl Scout camps and to the Camp Courage burn camp.
If you'd like to donate to the program, make out checks to Send a Kid to Camp and mail them to: Send a Kid to Camp, P.O. Box 16141, Tucson, AZ 85732-6141, or go online to azsendakidtocamp.org to donate by credit card.
Contributions are tax-deductible, qualifying for the state's working-poor charitable tax credit of up to $400.
