St. Mark's United Methodist Church will present a seminar on bullying at 9 a.m. Saturday.
St. Mark's is at 1431 W. Magee Road (at the southwest corner of North La Cañada Drive and Magee). The workshop will be held in the Fellowship Hall and is being sponsored by the church's Permanent Endowment Committee.
The seminar is free and open to the public. Students, parents, teachers, counselors and others interested in the topic are welcome to attend.

Presented by Sheri Bauman, the workshop will cover cyber-bullying, text bullying and physical bullying, according to a press release from the church.
Bauman is an associate professor in the University of Arizona School of Education, where she is the director of the school counseling program. She also is a licensed psychologist, according to the press release.

Bauman teaches in the master's program and conducts research on bullying. She has made presentations on topics related to bullying at local, state, national and international conferences. She has published two books; the latest, "Cyberbullying: What Counselors Need to Know," was published in 2011, the press release said.
