Andrew Tate Charged With Rape And Human Trafficking
Popular social media influencer Andrew Tate has been charged with rape and human trafficking. Along with Tate, Romanian prosecutors have sent his brother Tristan and two other suspects to trial. These will be on accounts of human trafficking, rape, and forming a criminal gang to sexually exploit women. The Tate brothers and two Romanian female suspects are under house arrest pending a criminal investigation of alleged abuses. The brothers have denied the charges leveled against them, and their role in abusing seven women. The prosecutors claim that the women were lured under false pretenses of marriage and love. Andrew Tate has been charged with raping one of the victims, with his brother being charged with instigating violence. The Tate brothers were first arrested at their Bucharest home in December 2022, before they were granted house arrest in March 2023. In accordance with Romanian legislation, the judge has 60 days to review the case files to guarantee their validity before the trial starts.
