Tucson leaders have approved more than $2 million in transit safety spending, including funding for transit ambassadors, police patrols, security upgrades and bus stop improvements. The move comes as Sun Tran workers consider a possible strike and renewed concerns emerge about safety across the city’s public transportation system.
