If you want to save the environment but don't possess the powers of Captain Planet, never fear, a new poster is here!
The Pima Department of Environmental Quality has released the poster, titled "51 Ways to Green the Earth," as part of its efforts to promote environmental conservation and awareness in Southern Arizona.
The poster, along with an accompanying bookmark, is available for download at www.deq.pima.gov.
Both list 51 ways people everywhere can help the environment. Artist Bill Singleton of Pima County Graphic Services depicts a lush and vibrant scene of plants and animals thriving in nature.
The list includes tips such as switching to fluorescent bulbs, walking or bicycling instead of driving along with recycling and carpooling.
