A Tucson insurance agent had his license revoked for taking money from clients and then failing to send the cash to the insuring company.
The actions of Herbert Zaring III and his agency, Arizona Policies Unlimited Inc., could have left his customers unprotected if they needed to file an insurance claim, according to the Arizona Department of Insurance.
Complaints from a Tucson construction company and the Tubac Chamber of Commerce prompted the Insurance Department’s investigation, said spokeswoman Erin Klug.
Telephone messages left for Zaring at Arizona Policies Unlimited were not returned today.
