When the Allies went into Germany in 1945, and discovered the concentration camps, the world said, "Never Again!" Many of the defeated German people said, “We didn’t know.” The parallels between the tactics of Trump and Hitler are obvious and frightening. First, you define an enemy within. Not Jews this time, but immigrants. Next, you put together an elite group of police to round up the enemy. Gestapo or ICE, little difference. Finally, with no due process, you ship them off to concentration camps in obscure parts of the country. Does Alligator Alcatraz remind us of Auschwitz? Is it large enough to hold terrorists like Liz Cheney, Hakeem Jeffries, or Zohran Mamdani?. For those of you who voted for Trump, remember the immigrants who landscaped your yard, picked your strawberries, and cleaned your pools. You may never see them again. Please don’t say: “I didn’t know.”
