Harry Prime was the featured vocalist with four orchestras during the Big Band era in the 1940s and 1950s. Randy Brooks, Jack Fina, Tommy Dorsey and Ralph Flanagan were indeed fortunate to have Harry Prime in their organizations during which he had one of Tommy Dorsey's biggest chart-busters, "Until" which sold over one million copies and he went on to record some 65+ tunes with the Flanagan band ('I Should Care,' 'Nevertheless,' 'Don't Cry Joe,' 'You're Breaking My Heart,' 'Just One More Chance,' etc.). He shared vocal honors with jazz/pop singer Peggy King during his stay with Ralph Flanagan. Born in East Falls, PA and a longtime resident of Chalfont, PA, and a friend for many years, Harry Prime passed away at age 97 one year ago on June 15th, 2017. He is destined to be very much a part of the Great American Songbook.
