Letter: Illegal Alien Crime

In a recent letter to the editor, the writer stated that there is a lack of evidence that supports the idea that illegal aliens in the U.S. commit crimes more often than U.S. citizens. While this theory has been stated in numerous other articles, I have never seen the basis on how it was reached. It appears that the author is trying to minimize the crimes that are committed by illegal aliens. Be that as it may, the fact of the matter remains that those crimes committed by illegal aliens in the U.S. would not have been committed, had they not been present in the U.S.
