I am the local supervisor for Greentech Renewables in Tucson. We are a residential wholesale distributor, and we work with solar installers here in Tucson.
The benefits of residential solar are abundant, especially in a place like Tucson where we have sun 250 days out of the year; solar offers homeowners reliable and affordable energy, it gives us energy independence to avoid price hikes and grid outages, and it creates a greener and healthier Tucson with the avoidance of fossil fuel burning and the imports of these fuels.
In speaking with SEIA, a National Trade Association who works with policy makers, the current administration is close to revoking the income tax credit for residential solar installs. Both action and education is needed in attempt to keep these credits available for homeowners in Tucson.
