Don Ries' letter (9/26) was on target: as servants of the people whose taxes pay their salaries, no elected government official or bureaucrat should ever sign an NDA. There oughta' be a law! That would preclude behind-the-scenes deals and potential violations of public trust.
If everyone involved tacitly agreed to that policy, think about how quickly controversial projects would depart for greener (and wetter!) pastures!
