Finland has once again landed on top as the happiest country in the world, according to the findings of the annual World Happiness Report. But what makes this Northern European country so joyful and great? According to the report, here are Finland’s best qualities: Firstly, the outdoors. Finland’s natural beauty ranges from forests to lakes and can seasonally be found in a blanket of snow. The Finnish government provides a social welfare system, offering citizens great healthcare, education and unemployment benefits. Finland has a strong sense of community, and citizens are deeply involved in each other's lives, which contributes to overall happiness. The work-life balance in the country is one of the most crucial aspects of Finns’ happiness, and the work culture revolves around flexibility and family. Mental health awareness is very important in Finnish culture. There are also several policies and services that support those struggling mentally. Finland is known for its significantly low crime rates, and women feel very safe. Gender equality is prominent in Finland, and the country encourages women to strive for leadership and management positions. Finland is known for its exceptional education system. The teachers are esteemed, and the students' well-being and development are the priority.
