Gas prices push inflation rate to 2.4% in March: StatsCan
Statistics Canada says the annual inflation rate rose to 2.4 per cent in March from 1.8 per cent in February, with gas prices being a major driver. Gas prices alone went up 21.2 per cent in March, which the agency says is the largest increase on record.
