Resurrection Lutheran Men’s Breakfast Hosts Rolling Thru Time Museum
On March 7th, Resurrection Lutheran Men’s Breakfast (Oro Valley) welcomed Rolling Thru Time Museum’s Director, Joe Findysz and his son, Joey, who shared the background, history, and contents of the Rolling Thru Time Museum. The Museum is over 40 years in the making, from when Joe bought his first Model T when he was 14. Since then, his love of early Fords and later old fire trucks, as well as a collection of other cars and motor vehicles, the museum now holds over 250 vehicles with descriptions and stories among several buildings in the old Davis Kitchen. The display even includes a recreation of a Model T assembly line. The museum has one of the largest collections of early Ford Model Ts and As, along with restored Mustangs, Pontiacs, and other car brands and models from across the decades.
Joe’s son, Joey, was hooked on the Mustang II, which was produced for four years in the mid-seventies when most car companies downsized many of their vehicles due to new government emission and mileage requirements. The museum does its own repairs and restorations. This hidden gem provides school tours, has an outdoor area for snacking, an unbelievable gift shop, and stages themed holiday events. A must-see museum in Tucson located at 4750 S Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85714. Joe is a native Tucsonan and owns several Ace Hardware stores, among a few other retail ventures.

The breakfast began with opening remarks by the group’s Chairman, Alan Bergstrom. Committee member Ken Shepard provided the blessing. Mark Boyce led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance and introduced the guest speakers. A hearty breakfast, prepared by Kevin Risner of Flaming Heart BBQ Catering, was served prior to the presentation. 56 men attended the breakfast.
The RLC Men’s Breakfast will meet next on Saturday, April 4th, 2026. The featured speaker in April is James Allerton. After spending Ten years as a Pastor and Church Planter, James Allerton became involved in Law Enforcement and retired as a Detective and Chaplain for the Pima County Sheriff's Department followed by the Tucson Airport Authority Police Department agency in Tucson, Arizona. James will be sharing insights into the United States Air Forces Special Warfare and Rescue Community from his time and experiences as Honorary Commander of the 563rd Rescue Group and his work with the 306th Rescue Squadron, a reserve pararescue squadron.
The Resurrection Lutheran Men’s Breakfast meets on the first Saturday of each month from October through May at the Outreach Center on the church’s main campus in Oro Valley.
