The Arizona Wildcats have added another player to their 2017 class.
Covina (Calif.) Charter Oak Wide receiver Brian Casteel, a three-star commit according to Scout.com, verbally committed to the UA on Saturday. Casteel — who is not related to former UA defensive coordinator Jeff Casteel — is ranked the west's 13th-best receiver and the No. 11 receiver in the state of California. As a junior, he caught 57 passes for 913 yards and nine touchdowns. He is the only true wide receiver in Arizona's 12-person (and growing) recruiting class, though a few of the incoming athletes — notably, Greg Johnson, Nathan Tilford and Drew Dixon — could be moved to the position.
The 6-foot-1-inch, 200-pound Casteel chose the UA over Nevada, Colorado State, Washington State, New Mexico, San Diego State and San Jose State.
