Cigar company hopes Tiger will come cheap
ORLANDO, Fla. - An Orlando-based cigar company has offered the world's top-ranked golfer an endorsement deal well below what he's used to: just $100,000.
Corona Cigar Co.'s management said the sex scandal involving Tiger Woods may just make it possible for companies with small pockets to do business with him - and that the offer is a way to let Woods know he still has fans in Central Florida.
Jeff Borysiewicz, the company's president and founder, acknowledged Saturday that it would be "a real fairy tale" if Woods accepted his offer to be the face for the retailer's three cigar superstores and bars, but he said he hoped Woods' business team would give it some serious consideration. He faxed a letter to the golfer's agent, Mark Steinberg, but has not heard back.

Attempts to reach Steinberg or Woods' attorney, Mark NeJame, were unsuccessful.
An early morning car crash Nov. 27 that led to revelations that Woods was having marital problems and had committed numerous sexual indiscretions and his subsequent leave from golf led sponsors including Accenture, Gillette, Gatorade and Tag Heuer to either limit Woods' relationship or announce that they will review their associations with him.
Scot Ramsay winner at S. African Open
PAARL, South Africa - Richie Ramsay of Scotland birdied the first hole of a playoff to defeat Shiv Kapur of India and win the South African Open on Sunday.
Ramsay shot a 7-under-par 65 to finish at 13-under 275 at Jack Nicklaus-designed Pearl Valley and move past overnight leader Pablo Martin of Spain. Kapur shot a final-round 67 in the event sanctioned by the European and Sunshine tours.
Sunshine Tour Order of Merit winner Anders Hansen of Denmark was a stroke back in third after a 69. Martin had a 73 and finished three strokes back in a tie for sixth. Martin, who won last week's Alfred Dunhill Championship, bogeyed the third and never recovered, managing only one birdie.
Ramsay had a putt on No. 18 to win the championship, but it went just left, forcing the playoff.

• Michigan cornerback Donovan Warren will forgo his senior season and enter the NFL draft.
He is projected as a first- or second-round pick.
Warren's four interceptions led the Wolverines this season, when no other player on the team's lackluster defense had more than two.
• John "Jack" Zilly, who played on national championship football teams at Notre Dame in 1943 and 1946, died Friday in Narragansett, R.I. He was 88.
