It was a beautiful, clear and chilly morning that greeted a full field of players on January 27th. Playing a step-aside scramble, there was a lot of laughter and felicity! The playing field was broken into four flights, paying seven foursomes per flight. Every player was a winner.
First place winners in each of the flights follow: First flight: Kathy Bussell, Jen Tomlinson, Michelle and Robert Lennox. Second flight: Patty Mawe, Suzanne Griffith, Kay Cruise and John Morales. Third flight: Stefanie Williams, Deb Fenton, Julia Reece and Randy Williams. Fourth flight: Susan Sterling, Jan Kreis, Darlene Warner and Hank Kreis.
The President’s Cup (a match play with 32 players) is February 10, 12, 14, 17 and 19. Co-chairs, Judy Fick and Carol Bidwell will announce the President’s Cup winner.
March and April are busy months for the 18ers. March 3 is Pick Your Partner playday. The Club Championship (a low gross tournament) will be held March 10, 12 and 17. SaddleBrooke will host Kachina players on March 30. Probably the most popular of all play days is the annual invitational which will take place April 12, 13 and 14.
