The NL West-leading Padres won their seventh straight home game and for the 11th time in 13 overall. San Diego's 13 hits were all singles. LeBlanc (2-0) struck out six, walked none and held Milwaukee to eight hits in 6 1/3 innings. He lowered his ERA from 0.82 to 0.52.
• Pirates 2, Dodgers 0: In Los Angeles, Ryan Doumit got two RBIs on a play that Matt Kemp misplayed into a triple and Pittsburgh handed the Dodgers their fifth loss in a row. L.A. starter Clayton Kershaw (1-1) walked his first two batters of the game, and both scored when Doumit's sinking liner got past Kemp in center with two outs as he tried to backhand it on the short hop.
• Cardinals 10, Braves 4: In St. Louis, rookie David Freese homered, doubled and drove in six runs as the Cardinals sent Atlanta to its ninth straight loss. The Braves wrapped up an 0-7 road trip, their first winless swing of seven or more games since September 1949 when the franchise was located in Boston and went 0-8 in Philadelphia and Brooklyn.

• Reds 4, Astros 2: In Houston, Bronson Arroyo pitched 6 2/3 strong innings for his first win this season, and Joey Votto hit a two-run homer as Cincinnati held on to win its fourth straight. Arroyo (1-2) allowed six hits and two runs with seven strikeouts to bounce back from his last start, when he allowed eight runs in three-plus innings.
