Richard Jefferson is this year's Arizona honoree for the Pac-12 Hall of Honor, having made a major impact over his three-year career from 1998-2001, the conference announced this afternoon.
Jefferson was an all-freshman pick in 1998-99, and started helping the Wildcats toward a conference title the next season before he broke a foot. Then, in 2000-01, Jefferson helped lead the Wildcats to the NCAA tournament championship game.
Jefferson was then the No. 13 pick in the 2001 NBA draft, and is now in his 11th season in the NBA, playing for the San Antonio Spurs.
In 2007, Jefferson donated $3.5 million towards the UA's basketball/volleyball practice facility, now known as the Richard Jefferson Gymnasium.
