I’m hoping that as this issue goes to press on Friday, October 25, we can finally say that summer is over. The snowbirds are back, traffic is getting busy, football is back in full force and we should be enjoying beautiful, fall temperatures. Meanwhile, the MountainView/Preserve Men’s Golf Association (MPMGA) is making plans for the best golf season ever in 2025.
Foremost in these planning sessions is providing an upscale Member-Guest Tournament that will make our members proud. Details will be made public soon, but look for announcements about the event, which will be called The Desperado. This will certainly be the highlight of our golf season in 2025 and for succeeding years!
Of course, the season will be filled with all our favorite tournament formats such as shambles, scrambles, best ball, rotating partners, Match Play, Tournament of Champions, and bashes in the winter and summer. These tournaments can be enjoyed on our two beautiful courses which are now open and in great shape. The only thing that would make our season the best it can be is your participation.
