Afni, a Tucson call center, is adding 280 jobs and will host hiring events at its two locations on Jan. 18.

Most of the company’s new hires will be entry-level customer service, customer sales and web-chat employees.

Phone and web-chat representatives interact with people who have billing questions, account or service requests, want to buy new products or services, or get general information.

“We had a lot of growth of our operations in Tucson in 2016 and we’re ready to add more,” said Senior Director of Operations Michelle Eickmeyer. “We have so many opportunities for great people to join Afni and make our teams even stronger. We’re looking for helpful and engaging people who are ready to work hard and be part of our fun company.”

The Jan. 18 hiring open house events are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Afni’s two Tucson locations: Afni Southeast, 7810 E. Escalante Road, and Afni Riverside Crossing, 5320 N. La Cholla Blvd.

Candidates will have a chance to to tour the building, meet staff members, apply and interview. Jobs will be offered the same day.
