Assistant U.S. Attorney Angela Woolridge got a big pat on the back today from Attorney General Eric Holder.
According to a news release, Holder recognized 340 department employees for their distinguished public service today at the 59th Annual Attorney General Awards Ceremony.
Woolridge was awarded for her "exceptional performance and notable accomplishments towards the Department’s mission by an employee with fewer than five years of federal career service."
The news release said Woolridge "is able to effectively present complex cases to a jury with positive results."
She handles firearm cases, including those involving organizations that want to illegally export mass amounts of firearms into Mexico and other countries, the news release stated.
She also investigates and prosecutes child sexual exploitation and abuse cases, and child and adult sex abuse cases on reservations.Â

Before joining the U.S. Attorney's Office, Woolridge was a prosecutor at the Pima County Attorney's Office. Â
