Tucson police are looking for more information about a hit-and-run accident that seriously injured a bicyclist on North Swan Road on Friday evening.
Around 6:30 p.m., a 23-year-old man was riding his bicycle north on Swan between East Camp Lowell Drive and the Rillito River bridge when he was hit by a vehicle.
Witnesses say the vehicle, which did not stop, is a black compact sedan, possibly a Nissan Altima, with extensive windshield damage and possible front-end damage, police said.
Witnesses described the driver as a female with reddish hair.
The driver fled north on Swan, then west on East River Road.
Traffic detectives are confident that there were additional witnesses who have not yet come forward.
