If you haven’t already activated your full-access subscription to the Star, these are a few of the reasons you should:
- Ensure unlimited access to all of our content in print and digital, including tucson.com, the e-Newspaper, and the Star’s smartphone and tablet apps.
- Watch the Star’s seven regular video programs. In the past few days, sports columnist Greg Hansen has talked about why fans will love the redesigned McKale Center. Political reporter Joe Ferguson interviewed Republican gubernatorial candidates Doug Ducey, Frank Riggs, Scott Smith, Ken Bennett and Christine Jones about what they would do during their first 100 days in office. Every Thursday on “This Week in Tucson” editors discuss weekend entertainment events.
- Read the e-Newspaper, which is a replica of the printed newspaper. If you favor the format and organization of the print edition, the e-Newspaper is the best way to read the Star on your tablet, computer or smartphone when you are away from home.

- Check out our 23 blogs. On “All Things Green in Tucson,” blogger Susan Billings recently shared recipes for safe, cheap weed-killers. UA basketball beat writer Bruce Pascoe posts nearly daily blog updates from his own reporting and links to news about college basketball across the nation.
- See hundreds more photos every week than we have room to include in the print edition. Among the slideshows from the past few days are the change of command ceremony at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base; the Star’s high school football players of the year since 1999; and photos of pets available for adoption from local shelters and rescue groups. We also have reader-submitted galleries, including one with 58 stunning photographs of national parks. Those are part of our 2014 vacation photo contest.
- Follow live coverage of school boards and other government meetings.
- Join live fan chats during UA football and basketball games.
- Check the daily map showing the previous day’s calls to Tucson, Pima County, Oro Valley and Marana law enforcement. If you want to see if there were burglaries, purse snatchings or other crimes in your neighborhood, the map shows them.
- Read the live monsoon blog. When there’s weather in Southern Arizona, the blog pulls in official weather advisories, a radar map and tweets about what is happening in specific areas. On tucson.com, we have hour-by-hour and seven-day forecasts. Find those by clicking on the weather icon at the top of tucson.com
- Win an Apple iPad. All subscribers who activate their digital account at tucson.com between July 13 and Dec. 31 will be entered in a drawing to win one of nine tablets.
It is easy to activate your full-access subscription. Go to tucson.com and click the big blue “activate your full access” button on the right. The form that pops up will ask for two pieces of information: the ZIP code where your printed paper is delivered and the telephone number you provided when you subscribed to the Star.
If you have questions about activation, email them to circulation@tucson.com. Or call customer service at 1-800-695-4492 between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday – Friday; 6 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Saturday; and 7 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Sunday. From the menu of options, say that you are calling for “help with our digital product.”
