Tucson Rabbi Yehuda Ceitlin might be the first to take the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge thousands of feet in the air.
According to a press release, Ceitlin was on his way to the airport for a flight from Dallas to Tucson on Tuesday when he received a nomination to partake in the challenge. So, he decided to do it during his trip.
Video shot from the American Airlines flight shows passengers dousing Ceitlin in cups of ice water.
"One flight attendant was a bit worried about the mess it will create, but it worked out fine," Ceitlin said.
In addition to being covered in ice, Ceitlin, the Outreach Director of Chabad Tucson and Associate Rabbi of Congregation Young Israel of Tucson, will also donate $100 to the ALS Association and HurwitzFamilyFund.com.
Some people he nominates to take the challenge includes American Airlines CEO Doug Parker and Tucson Mayor Jonathan Rothschild.
