MELBOURNE, Australia — Hard to believe, but Roger Federer says he isn't perfect.
Unfortunately for the rest of the men's field at the Australian Open, most of Federer's imperfections are off the court.
"I'm always late, I can't cook, I can't get out of bed," Federer said to a good-natured question from commentator Jim Courier.
When Courier jokingly asked Federer's girlfriend, Mirka Vavrinec, to come down from the stands at Rod Laver Arena, Federer indicated that she might divulge more of his imperfections.
The top-ranked Federer has dominated men's tennis with six Grand Slam wins in three years. He defeated Max Mirnyi 6-3, 6-4, 6-3 in a third-round match on Saturday.
Federer was just about perfect, hitting 79 percent of his first serves, 48 winners and making only 10 unforced errors.

Bad Pastry
The heat of the Australian Open helped bake a double bagel.
With the roof closed at Rod Laver Arena because of 104-degree temperatures, Francesca Schiavone of Italy needed only 42 minutes to beat Maria Sanchez Lorenzo of Spain 6-0, 6-0 in a third-round match Saturday.
The 28-year-old Sanchez Lorenzo won only 18 points and never had a break point. She had 23 unforced errors to Schiavone's six, and picked up only three points in 19 attempts on her second service.
"I just felt badly on the court, on an indoor court," said Sanchez Lorenzo, ranked 93rd to Schiavone's 12.
"For me, it was a very bad day."
Had Schiavone ever "double-bageled" anyone before?
"Usually I eat bagels in the morning," she said, laughing.
She added she may have been on the receiving end of a similar score when she was 12.
Cool shirt
Dominik Hrbaty claims his ventilated shirt helped him beat Igor Andreev in a 3 1/2-hour match.
His pink and black shirt has two holes cut in the back at the shoulder blades, allowing more breeze in the 104-degree heat on Saturday. He went to the shirt in the fifth set and won 1-6, 6-4, 6-3, 2-6, 6-4.
