Al Fleming

Accomplishments: Fleming, a two-time first-team All-WAC selection and a one-time second-team selection, holds the UA record for most career rebounds with 1,190. He led Arizona in field goal percentage in each of his four seasons as a Wildcat: 

• 1972-73: 130-242 (53.7 percent) 

• 1973-74: 136-269 (50.6 percent) 

• 1974-75: 215-381 (56.4 percent) 

• 1975-76: 207-354 (58.5 percent) 

Fleming also led the team in rebounding during two of his four seasons as a Wildcat: 257 total rebounds in 1972-73 (9.9 rebounds per game) and 343 total rebounds in 1974-75 (11.8 rebounds per game).

He posted 1,765 career points during his time at UA, a figure that ranks 10th in school history. He is tied for the UA record for most points scored during a single half of a game (33 against Detroit in 1976). 

Fleming also ranks in the top 10 in UA history in the following categories: 

• Career field goals: Fifth, 688 made 

• Career field goal percentage: Fifth, 58.3 percent 

• Career free throws: Ninth, 389 made 

• Career free throw attempts: 10th, 522 attempts 

• Career rebound average: Fourth, 10.4 rebounds per game 

• Single-season field goal percentage: First, 66.7 percent (1973-74)

• Single-season rebounds: Tied for third, 343 rebounds (1974-75); and sixth, 329 rebounds (1975-76)

• Single-season rebound average: Fifth, 11.8 rebounds per game (1974-75)

• Single-game points scored at McKale Center: First, 41 points against Detroit in 1976
