Club Congress made the short list for Minneapolis indie pop band On An On’s farewell tour.
Actually, it’s not clear if this is a forever-gone thing or a see-you-soon soiree. But Tucson is one of the last cities on the trio’s itinerary before they take a hiatus.
The break comes a year after On An On, which formed in 2012 out of the remnants of Minneapolis indie rock outfit Scattered Trees, released its sophomore album “And the Wave Has Two Sides.” According to a Facebook posting, the band members are going off to explore solo endeavors.
“On An On is going to be taking a break from touring. We may still release music and play concerts now and then around Minneapolis, but we are winding ourselves in for now,” according to the post (facebook.com/itsOnAnOn)
The trio takes the stage at Club Congress, 311 E. Congress St., at 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 19. Tickets are $10 in advance at ticketfly.com or $12 at the door, and it’s a 16-and-old show.
