In case you missed it, Mariah Carey's acceptance speech after winning an the Breakthrough Actress award for her role in "Precious" at the Palm Springs International Film Festival was a thing of beauty.
Yeah, so she rambled on about meeting Helen Mirren, laughed a lot, talked about being difficult and was on overall joy to watch.
Now she's saying it was all due to "little splashes" of champagne.
Girl, just admit you downed a whole bottle. It was a celebration. Nothing wrong with that.
And she jokingly placed some of the blame on "Precious" director Lee Daniels, as well.
"We had splashes of champagne, and I love Lee but he's a bad influence," she said.
I think this all made me like Mariah a bit more. Girl looks like she knows how to have a good time.

I'm glad she joked about it and just admitted she was a bit tipsy.
"If people don't understand me and think I'm just like this girl that stands by a microphone and sings 'Hero,' then they're definitely not going to get me," she said. "But if people knew me better, they would understand I have a sense of humor, and basically that's what gets me through life."
