GILBERT — A Gilbert man who built a fake profile on a pornographic website to get back at a school administrator is looking at jail time.
A Maricopa County jury convicted 34-year-old Robert Dale Esparza on Thursday of computer fraud and taking someone’s identity, The Arizona Republic reports.
Esparza wanted to retaliate against Assistant Principal Frank Hendricsen, blaming him for confiscating his son’s iPod, authorities allege.
Esparza established a profile in May 2011 on an adult website under Hendricsen’s name. Esparza used photos from the Gateway Point Elementary School website, including one of Hendricsen’s wife. He also chatted online as Hendricsen, detectives say.
Hendricsen discovered the site when interviewing for another job.
Esparza is scheduled to be sentenced June 5.
