In-N-Out Burger is coming to Oro Valley, a town official confirmed.
The popular fast-food franchise has applied for a conditional use permit to build a store in the Oro Valley Marketplace, Assistant Planning Director Paul Popelka said.
A site plan for the store — In-N-Out's fourth in the Tucson area — calls for the 3,265-square-foot building to be at the extreme southern end of the shopping center, which is on the southwest corner of North Oracle and East Tangerine roads.
A conditional use permit is necessary because the restaurant would have a drive-through window, Popelka said. The permit application will be up for review June 2 at the town's Planning and Zoning Commission meeting and would then likely go to a vote of the Town Council in July.
No timetable for the store's opening was known Wednesday. Officials with In-N-Out and Vestar, the developer of Oro Valley Marketplace, did not immediately return calls for comment.
