Geico hiring 200 more for Tucson call center
Insurance giant Geico is looking to fill 200 positions in customer-service, claims and sales at its Tucson customer-service center, the company said Monday.
The company is planning a career fair Thursday, June 21, at its offices at 930 N. Finance Drive and plans to hold similar fairs on the third Thursday of every month. The June event will run from 4 to 6 p.m.
In addition to entry-level positions, college graduates can apply for Geico's supervisor leadership program, an entry-level, fast-track management-training program.
Geico ranks 52nd in the Star 200 survey of Southern Arizona employers, reporting 880 full-time-equivalent local employees at the end of 2011.

DoubleTree by Hilton unveiled near airport
DoubleTree by Hilton unveiled its newly renovated all-suite hotel at Tucson International Airport on Monday.
Formerly a Radisson hotel, the 204-room DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Tucson Airport is located at 7051 S. Tucson Blvd.
It features a newly redesigned lobby with a 25-foot-tall ceiling and suites with amenities including 40-inch LCD TVs, spacious work areas and wireless Internet access.
The hotel also offers a 24-hour business center and 12,000 square feet of flexible conference space, including two ballrooms.
The hotel is owned by Tucson Suites LLC and operated under a franchise license agreement with a subsidiary of Hilton Worldwide.
