A dozen Tucson auto shops have received the AAA Arizona’s Approved Auto Repair Top Shop recognition.
A total of 35 shops in Arizona were recognized.
“AAA created the AAR network in an effort to help members and the public find honest and reliable auto repair facilities,” said John Walter, director of automotive services for AAA Arizona. “Top Shops consistently exceed our member’s expectations and our strict standards. They represent the best of the best.”
To be eligible for the Top Shop award, facilities must belong to AAA’s Approved Auto Repair network and must adhere to more than 20 AAA standards, including:
- Annual inspection by AAA.
- Staff automotive service excellence technicians for each area of service offered.
- Guaranteed repairs for at least 12 months or 12,000 miles for AAA members.
- Acceptance of the final decision of AAA in resolving disputes with members.

Top Shops must also maintain a 90 percent customer approval rating. They must be actively involved in the community and uphold an exemplary business reputation.
