Architectural Traditions, a longtime supplier of Southwestern-style doors and related hardware, has closed its doors at 9280 E. Old Vail Road and left customers without much hope of getting back their deposits.
A message to customers on its website says the company closed “due to unforeseen financial issues” and that customers who paid deposits for orders left uncompleted "will not be paid at this time."
The company said it is working with its secured lender to liquidate the company’s assets. If there are any funds left after the satisfaction of secured debts — such as loans backed by collateral — they would be distributed on a pro-rata basis to other creditors, “although it is unlikely there will be any remaining funds," the company said.
Architectural Traditions reported 135 employees in last year’s Star 200 survey of major employers.
