Crowd Audio, a music-production website founded by University of Arizona alumni, has launched a crowd-funding campaign on Indiegogo.
Crowd Audio allows musicians to upload their music and then have audio engineers essentially compete for the business of mixing their tracks onto a final version.
The company has a goal of raising $10,500 on Indiegogo by Nov. 1 and had raised about $3,800 as of Friday.
In crowd funding, people pool their resources by donating small amounts via the Internet toward a goal set by an individual or an organization, such as a charity or startup company.
The co-founders of the company, Alex von Bieberstein, Björgvin Benediktsson and Chris Fraioli, launched the business in August after graduating from the UA’s McGuire Entrepreneurship Program.
