La Paloma Family Services, La Frontera Arizona merge
Behavioral-health agencies La Frontera Arizona Inc. and La Paloma Family Services Inc. have merged.
As a result, La Paloma Family Services becomes the third behavioral-health agency under the La Frontera Arizona umbrella, joining La Frontera Center in Tucson and EMPACT-Suicide Prevention Center in Tempe.
The merger will allow La Frontera to fill a gap by allowing the organization to provide residential services for children and youths, as well as foster care, La Frontera President and CEO Dan Ranieri said in a news release.
David Bradley, formerly CEO of La Paloma Family Services, has been named chief development officer of La Frontera Arizona.

Free tax help still available as Tuesday deadline nears
With just a few days left until the income-tax filing deadline, there are still places to go for free help - including one tax-help site that will be open until 10 p.m. on deadline day, Tuesday.
The United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona will open its office at 10 a.m. Tuesday to offer free tax preparation to low- and moderate-income families and individuals. As part of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program, IRS-certified volunteers will be available to prepare federal and state income tax returns.
Free VITA help is available to individuals earning less than $25,000 and families earning less than $50,000.
The United Way office is at 330 N. Commerce Park Loop, Suite 200 (just west of Interstate 10 off North Bonita Avenue between West St. Mary's Road and West Congress Street).
Some other VITA sites are still open; for more information, go to www.unitedwaytucson.org/vita or dial 211 (Community Information and Referral).
Some AARP tax-help help sites, which are geared toward seniors, also are still available through Tuesday. For more information, go to aztax-aide.org or call AARP Arizona at 1-866-389-5649 (toll-free).
