Guitar virtuoso sells home, plays Tucson
You may never attain the same level of virtuosity on the electric guitar as Steve Vai.
But you can own his house.
Vai, 53, recently put up his luxury home in the Hollywood Hills for $1.79 million.
He purchased the residence in 1987 after leaving Frank Zappa’s band and launching a solo career, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The home includes his 1,400 square-foot Mothership Studio, where artists such as Ozzy Osbourne, Slash and Eddie Van Halen have recorded.
You can work the details out with Vai when he plays the Rialto Theatre Tuesday.
The show begins at 8 p.m. Tickets are $29 through the Rialto box office, 740-1000.
